nobody?
The "monkeylectric" one looks like it has some of the coolest displays, and the spokePOV one is cool that you can program your own artwork, but both of them are pretty expensive

some of the valve stem caps look interesting, especially for how cheap they are, there are various "no name" spoke mounted leds as well for pretty cheap.

I'm mostly interested in them to add some flash to my bike for night riding in the city, not safety or anything like that

I have monkey electric and it is great but I don't have any photos. It is also a great safety feature. I put them on both wheels of my electric recumbent along with my downlow glow last Halloween and the kids on trick or treat shouted and screamed when I went by.

i picked up a couple of these, but just have them on my wife's bike. they look pretty cool at night, just a basic red ring but eye catching. the units are pretty much bulletproof and they are left mounted without any worries about water or other damage.

yeah i saw those spokelit but they look too much like reflectors haha

i ordered some valve stem LEDs for 99 cents SHIPPED from hong kong.. i'm sure they are total junk but might be good for some fun. i'd like to figure out something cool by the 4th of july

crackerdog, do you just have one monkey light on each wheel? all their demo videos show the bikes with at least two..

well i got my LEDs.. they had a "shock sensor" which would turn them on when a tiny spring touched a tiny wire. it didn't engage well enough at bike speeds so i just crimped the spring so it always touches the wire. i just flip the battery over to turn it off. for 99 cents each i got what i paid for

they were sold as green but it's a blue LED with a green plastic housing.. it kinda looks like blacklight green actually.

they looked cool and i could tell people noticed.. would still be down to try some of the other ones which have multiple colors and patterns that aren't too expensive. the main problem with only having one per wheel is that it doesn't fill up the whole wheel.. probably would need 4 to look proper.. but they are meant to be mounted on the valve stem
