Edge 500 - if I change to a different tire size, do I need to re-calculate?

Edge 500 - if I change to a different tire size, do I need to re-calculate?
I've got two different wheel setups...one with 700x35s on it and one with 700x25s.
When I change the wheels out, do I need to do anything to my Edge 500, or will it automatically re-calculate the setting (I have it set for Auto)?

The Garmin doesn't care what size tire you have, it only cares that it can be seen by satellite. Tire size comes into play when the circumfrence/diameter of the wheel+tire changes with different tires as the magnet (non GPS-based cyclocomputer) aids in calculating distance per revolution.

(I assume the 500 is doing it the same way as my 705).
When set to auto, it calculates the wheel size based on the first mile or two while counting wheel revs.
It will make a short beep to announce it has completed the calculation, then uses that size for the remainder of the ride.

FWIW--I think gps units aren't seen BY the satellites; rather, the gpsr sees the satellites and constantly calculates its location based on triangulation and its mapset. This is for handhelds (Oregon, eTrex) and automotives (Nuvi); admittedly I don't know anything about the ones made specifically for bikers. Please correct me if I'm wrong. (Big brother isn't watching you; you are watching him and figuring out where you are based on where his satellites are in relation to your position.)
