Lots of LED's

Here's the link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPUOmpwhb2s

The 12 volt incandescent marker lights have been replaced by LED's, in the form of Christmas tree lights!
There are 70 LED's, each uses only 70 milliwatts, for a total of 4.8 watts. Powered by a 12v 12 amp/hour lead acid battery , through an inverter, the run time is at least 4 hours.

I shot this a video, because the camera would have fired it's flash otherwise.
I kind of drone on, narrating this video.

I have since wrapped the LED's in "lens repair tape" so they are now red on the rear and amber on the front.

The local Auto parts store only had *one* LED light, a white marker light, maybe a back-up light. I figure these Christmas lights are just temporary, until the NAPA store gets something in stock.
I had to stop using the incandescent Maker lights because they used too much juice, and drained the battery.

I hope to see more LED marker lights at the local auto/truck supply store soon, and replace these in a couple of months.

No, I ain't got any action footage. It's darn near impossible to find someone who can shoot video. All my bike videos, I shoot the video and have someone else ride the bike.

Here's the next best thing, me riding the bike in a basement parking garage (it was raining outside and I didn't want to get the camera wet):

Now I have wrapped the lights in Red and Amber lens tape, so it looks like it's meant to be a vehicle.

Hey, not bad.

I think you'll be seen fine.

Headlight looks like a strong one.

That bike ... not sure I've ever seen one like it. What's the story there?

The yellow bike is what I call "the Type Ten". Here is a link to a previous thread about the Type Ten:

Okay, Christmas is over, thank God I timed it right, so when the Christmas lights came off the bike, the local auto parts store received it's first shipment of LED 12 volt truck & trailer lights.

I will pan the camera all around the bike in this video. The tail lights are awesome. The amber markers only have two LEDs, but they are built rugged . Besides the LED lights, you will also enjoy the radio. I was kind of joking around when I made this video, so to go along with the "Shark Jaws" paint scheme, I have the radio set to the station that gives weather reports for the beaches.
