Two Problems With Garmin 605 - Help
I wrote Garmin because my 605 handlebar mount was loose and I wanted to see if they had another since mine was apparently defective. Their response was "Thank you for contacting Garmin International.Garmin only has one bike mount available for the Edge 605. You can order one from the Garmin website, the mount has been redesigned and appears the same as the older mounts, however it should not break or be loose." I wanted to say 'duh' you should have improved it since it is so flimsy and poorly designed and produced. Now the clip that holds the GPS in place is broken and it will not lock. They have a redesigned mount that should not break or be loose but it costs $13.50. That's a lot of money for a cheap piece of plastic made in Asia. Is there a way I can wedge the GPS into the mount or some other fix? I am going to get one of those squeeze lemon things and superglue it on the Garmin somewhere so when people ask - I can tell them the Garmin mount is a true piece of junk.
Second issue deals with accuracy. All of the mileages on my rides with the Garmin have all been recorded within a +/- of .01 miles. Recently, the 605 is over from .23 -.51 miles on a previously recorded 30.1 mile ride and .43 miles over on a 34.6 mile ride. Why the change in recording accuracy?
