Shimano DH-3N80 dynohub
I got a DH-3N80 dynohub to replace my Alfine DH-S500 on my road commuter. The main motives were (1) move the leftover Alfine to my Troll mountain-bike commuter build, and (2) take some weight off my road commuter (the 3N80 is 190 grams lighter than the Alfine).
If weight is an issue and you don't need a rotor mount, this is worth the price premium over the lower models IMO.
runs on peanut-butter-&-jelly sandwiches OR pizza!
yes, there really is a PRS2-OS2 repair stand in my living room
transplant complete
oooo, shiny!
Alfine is 678 grams by comparison. Holy weight savings, Batman!

I built a wheel using that hub about 2 weeks ago. I'm also using the same light (it looks like a IQ CYO). Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to really try it out. I re-injured my back 3 weeks ago and haven't been able to ride. Hopefully I'll be better next week and the doctor will allow me to go back to work.
