Rerouting sensor to rear wheel for trainer

Would like to put my cateye sensor on rear wheel so I can get speed etc. for trainer. Does anyone have any ideas on how to route wire to rear for sensor? Thanks!

How about across the top tube?

I have been thinking about this for a while, however. mine is wireless. I still want it on my handle bars and it will be out of range there. Good luck!

I use a wireless computer/sensor set-up for my trainer so I too can track my speed. Since the computer doesn't pick up the signal that well from the back wheel, I just set the computer on a small stool and check everything when I get done. Not sure how to run it when it's wired. (I know, not a lot of help)

I been thinking about this, all day long, what about stringing it along the underside of the top tube? I know on my trek that is where my shifter cables are run and my brake tube, so it would be nothing to have another wire running along there... might be worth a try if the wire is long enough...

You might want to look for some super thin teflon coated wire wrap wire in the same color as your bike. Its almost invisible. You could use some lacquer or even superglue to glue it to the bottom of your top tube and it would be practically invisible. Or use the very fine gauge laquered wire they use for winding inductors, dynamos, etc. Magnet wire. Both are very fine, and solid, so they may need to be soldered on the ends for strength. You will need to strike the appropriate balance between durability and cosmetics. Another alternative is use the thinnest gauge of clear jacketed speaker wire you can find, and tape it with clear tape.

I have the wired Cateye Strada Cadence and ran the wire alongside the shifter cable which runs on the bottom of the down tube.
