and having trouble woring out how to use it. Will scan the user instructions which are poorly written and see if anyone can tell me your interpretation :0)

Hi is there no one that can help me? I really need the help as the spate of bike thefts in Sydney has escalated. I was told there is someone driving around with huge bolt cutters and they are able to get through Kryptonite ulocks as well as anything else. They go along the streets just snipping and taking in a spree.

Bhahahaha thats hilarious. Did you write that or someone else? Unfortunately here in Australia we sold out years back or were sold out by the Prime Minister at the time. Honestly even if i go to a shop i can't get anything not made in China :0(

Makes sense. i remember being in Japan also int he 90's and there was a craze to put/print english words on clothing bags etc. The words were collect to make sentences on the clothing etc and nothing ever made sense. It was hilarious. thats what you r review reminds m e of...:0)

IMO, the worst of it is that they have exchange students over here that speak Chinese natively and English better than most Americans. It's 2011; email them the Chinese text and offer $50 to translate that single page, then email the translation to another one with a $20 offer to proofread it just in case. Job done for $70, college students can afford beer next weekend, and you can add a dime to the product price to cover the full cost on the first 700 units.

You can't figure out anything? Did you see the default code? How to change the code? How to set and disable the alarm? It's all right there man. It doesn't look intuitive but it's not hard to read.

Yep default code i understand not much more. I disagree and english is my first language. This thing is not written in english! It is written in some other language and they used someone that doesn't know any english grammar...or very little.

More likely they ran it through an online translator, and haven't bothered to try again as the translators have gotten a lot better. Most of the instructions I've seen from China look almost exactly like ~1996 Babelfish output.

Yeah thats what i was thinking but forgot to mentjion it. I know someone that used to write tech manuals and he used to insist than the manuals out there were fine. English was not his first language and i would argue this with him. Recently he says the opposite he he. he is a computer scientist and was an en engineer i think long before computers were around. Yes he is that old. Great resource but so hard to argue with him as he is a walking brain lol.
I used to use bablefish myself some years back when i was building website and i noticed they never progressed.
Ah well i am not fussing too much about the bike as it stopped working 2 days ago and i have to take it in for a service. It is an ebike! Luckily the dude that sold it to me said today he will look at it for free and not charge me too much if it needs too much done to it. I bet it is just the wiring because i dropped it on the throttle! I would not be able to do anything with it i don't think and it is too important for me to stuff up. I do so many things to the bike but this is way beyond my knowledge! :0)

Did you get it up and running already? Seems it's just a motion triggered alarm box.

To change the code, press A for three seconds, until you hear a beep. Then enter the old code and you'll hear three beeps. Enter the new code and you'll hear three beeps. One long beep means something failed so try again.

To set the alarm, press B for three seconds. You'll hear a beep.

To disable the alarm, enter your code. Three beeps means correct, one long beep incorrect.

To change the sensitivity, when the alarm is disabled, hold C until you hear a beep. One beep is high sensitivity, two beeps medium, three beeps low.

Gee i wonder how i missed this. Anyway turns out the guy i bought the bike form sells these devices and he told me how to use it. Trouble is i forgot it now because he had the bike in for repair for so long. I just remember the default code to get it started is abcd.....to arm it.....hmmmmmm i forgot. oh CaptainCool has the answer yes it is B!!!!!

Now i have had another break from the bike as it was in getting an upgrade from lead acid battery to lithium. Plus motor change as i stuffed the motor again. I know how to arm the alarm but the code somehow is not the same. Whatever i try i run out of trys and it just bleeps continuously. Anyone know of a way to take it back to default?
