Can I use the Garmin Edge 305 HR strap and cadence sensor with the Edge 500?

Hi there,

Title of the thread says it all. My Edge 305 is powering off under heavy vibration, and I'm trying to figure out if I need to get the $350 whole-hog package for the Edge 500 or whether I can get away with the $250 one and keep using my heart rate monitor strap and cadence sensor.

Thanks,

Scott

I got my new 500 three weeks ago and I continue to use the heart rate strap and cadence sensor from my old 305

You could easily find the answer for yourself at Garmin.com. Go to the product page for the Edge 305. Click on the Accessories tab. Click on the cadence sensor link. Click on its "compatible devices" tab. Repeat for the HRM.
