LED lights: Finally...
Damn! I just got (and tested) this light yesterday and I have to say that I'm finally impressed with LED lights. This one is approaching my old overvolted halogens in brightness and throw at half the cost of what I could build them for. Battery life is still on the low side but Holy Cow! is it bright

I will bite next spring though for a bar and helmet mounted flashlights because the summer nights around here are sooo nice at 2 A.M. when I get home from work.

...and many times the bulb....err, emitter life. I finally got tired of replacing expensive proprietary lens/bulb units on my SuperSabre Lite, but even after a couple years haven't picked up a new LED flashlight. I don't like the tint of most.

I didn't think any of that stuff was really fixable except for a failed solder joint or corroded connection, or just dropping in a new circuit.
