Just sharing this article: the best taillights on the market. A comparison.

I found this article by Gizmodo Australia to be quite helpful and informative. I really liked how they used graphs for the different models to compare and contrast.
Read it here: http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2012/03/th...le-tail-light/

Great.

I wonder why Dinotte declined to loan a light for the review.

Nice article, but in the end nothing we already didn't know;
Cygolite Hotshot is the king for now

Yeah, I've had the Hotshot since it was released. I love looking backward and seeing it reflect off things almost a mile away.

In this review they say the mount is awful. I never had a problem with it, but after a few months of use, I switched the clip with one from a PBSF because I have matching mounts on all of my bikes.

Yeah, not that useful. Cygolite Hotshot in the < $50 category, got it. We knew that. I want to see really good reviews of really good taillights.

It's kind of hard to believe that's all that are available, but I guess that's it. We'd all know and talk about others if there were. Now that I've seen it though, I'm going to buy a Hotshot.

Oddly they didn't include the NiteRider Solas, my current favorite. Maybe it's because this review is about 1 year old.

You can make the Hotshot work with the Planet Bike mounts? I wish I had known that before my last tail light purchase. I might have chosen differently....
