I have a Garmin Dakota 20. It does all those things your asking about, mapping, tracking, uploads/downloads and is color too. Costs about $215 new. Google it for more details and price. One thing it doesn't do is count cadence unless you buy a separate sensor. Uses Garmin connect, garmin fit and base camp too. Also is ANT capable (wireless capable)
Hmmm...I will look into that.

I bought a Garmin 705 on Ebay and I love it. I got mine for $232 and it is complete with cadence sensor, heart rate monitor and the North America map data base. It does every thing I want it to and was considerably cheaper than buying an Edge 800 or 810.

Sorry about that I should of been more specific. The higher end GPS units will let you look at a map. You might have to load a map or buy a map if it wasn't included when you bought it. I just looked on ebay. There are Garmin 705 units available at the moment. You have to read the details to see if they come with a map. The one I bought didn't list a map but did actually include a map.

When I first started looking at those units, I was turned off because of having to buy the maps separately. It turns out that for these units, you can use open source maps which are free. So if you do find a good price on one of these (particular refurbished ones), it nice to know you don't have to pay for maps.

Cheers,
Charles

I went to the second link you provided. I noticed that the Dakota 20 has touchscreen technology. I can't use touchscreen technology. Because of an eye-hand coordination problem. So, I need one with buttons.

Yep, I was glad when I found out mine came with the map. I knew when I bought it I could get free Open Source maps but I really did want a Garmin map. It's an older map but I doubt it will give me any problems. When I went on to the Garmin website I think they asked for $50 for the map update. I really won't need it though. If by chance I run into a routing problem caused by the old map I can always consult the Google map app on my Android. I really doubt that will happen though.
