I just put one of these new Cateyes on my new bike and the HR reading is not right. It reads normal if I stop the bike and sit up but as soon as I start hammering the HR starts dropping.
I have to stop or sit up for a while in order to see what the correct HR is. Whether its correct or not who knows?
The strap is smooth and shiny where the sensors are. But I am wetting it regardless as I have done with my other HR monitors. I have adjusted it endlessly and nothing seems to make a difference. I live in the country so there is no interference, and my other HR monitors have worked fine.
Maybe I am just in awesome shape? Today I pedaled into a strong headwind at max effort and only had an HR of 88bpm with this cateye!
Seems to go out of whack mostly when I go into the drops.
