How do I sync a new Garmn HR sensor to an old Garmin 800

I had an Heart Rate sensor that came with my Garmin 800 and so long as the belt was tight and the battery was good, no problem.

Well . . . except I'm an idiot and I lost the belt and sensor.

So, I bought another one, looks like a Garmin, says "Garmin" on it, looks just like the old one (except for no salt stains on the belt yet) but it won't talk to my 800.

Is there a sync ritual I have to go through to get my old 800 to "recognize" the new HR sensor?

Please advise!

You might need to select "Rescan" on the 800.
