Heart Rate Monitor for XC skiing

I know this is a cycling site. I am a cyclist but also XC ski in winter, as its almost a direct winter time activity to cycling.

I would like some recommendations of good HRT monitor i can use for Xc skiing, that i can put on my wrist,
right now for bike i use a Garmin GPS computer which is amazing

what do the skiers use for now?

Or are there any such as thing as a ski computer for xc skiing?
    thanks

There may be specific XC skiing units, but there are lots of options for wrist mounted GPS computers for non-cycling (and cycling) activities. Triathletes commonly use them, even for the swimming leg. Check the following site for excellent thorough reviews.

I've just used my Garmin bike GPS stuck in a pocket, choosing one that had a better view of the sky while in use. Often this was in the top of a Camelbak.
