Famous brand for led bicycle light??

Hi everybody! i am a new rider here. this weekend i will go out for riding with my friends, i am a girl and this is my first time for riding with so many friends(fell a little nervous), in view of the safety, i want to change my light. my friend told me that her light is very amazing! both the safety and vision(because of the side-marker), what surprised me most is the OLED system, it could show accurate run time. "this advanced display system can tell you exact run time whenever you want to know, it is the new product and very utility! " she said that.
so...does anybody have used this kind of lights before? do i need to have a try?

Hi.

I am a little confused by what you are asking.

Firstly you say you want to change your light for safety reasons, but also because you will be riding in a group. But you don't say what you are currently using, or where you will be riding.

For well lit urban areas, unless you are riding fast, you only need to "be seen", and in that scenario almost any light will be good enough.

For poorly/un-lit areas or fast riding, then a good headlamp to see the way is also needed. I don't have a great deal of suggestions in this area as I run dynamo - but I hear the Philips Saferide has a battery version. This is one of the better cycle lights as it casts a good spread but also has an automotive style cut-off so that it does not blind oncoming traffic (if angled correctly), and one of them has even been OK-ed for use on motorized scooters!

Riding in a group, low light lights are probably better so you do not destroy others night-vision.

As to your friends light - have you seen it in use? It may be that you don't like the beam-shape.

I am guessing by "OLED" system, you are referring to a display rather than a light that is comprised of OLED's? To start with I thought it would be the former, but on searching I found light panels made up of OLED.

More info is required please.

it is a pity that the girl who introduced the light is on hospital now. we she fell better, i will ask her about this.
By the way, Magicshine is very popular in your country?
