What lights do you recommend without a battery pack
Where I ride is really dark. No street lights and country roads then I start getting into more of a town with lights. I need something bright enough to SEE and BE SEEN.
I have a dinotte rear light which works great. My front is just a generic planet bike light. Not so great.
Pros about the dinotte:
Bright.
Rechargeable
Lasts a long time
I like the flash modes
Cons:
Huge/bulky battery pack
Not removable/no quick release
I'd use the light for commuting, mountain biking at night and possibly touring. I generally carry a backpack to work and it would be cool if dinotte would make a light for backpacks. Do you know if they are? Maybe I am just dumb and can't figure out where to put the battery pack...it just seems awkward. I don't normally have a seatbag with me either.
My dad sent me these links. he would rather have me have one on my bike and one on my helmet.

are the prices even worth it? and unfortunately with a battery pack.
He also sent me just the link to light and motion and niterider. It just kind of made me overwhelmed. Do you recommend anything from them or anywhere else?
Thank you.

I have the Dinotte XML-3. I use it on my helmet. I also have a Niterider Lumina 650 mounted on my bars. In the rear I have a Dinotte 300L and a couple of Niterider Solas (one up high, and one on a seat stay or rack). My commute starts at 6:00 am on mostly unlit streets, until I get to a totally unlit MUP. It's only once I get off the MUP (about 6 to 13 miles down the MUP, depending on the route) that I get to streets with lights.
I can tell you that I find the combination of the XML-3 and Lumina 650 to be almost perfect. It's actually more light than I need, so I run both on "medium", though once in a while I'll dial it up. Since everything is USB chargeable, I just bring the battery pack for the XML-3, the Lumina 650, and all three tail lights into the office and charge them while I'm at work. By the time I'm ready to go, so are they.
The battery pack for the XML-3 bothers me a lot less than I thought it would. I ended up just taking a nylon web belt and threading that through the slots on the battery pack so I can wear it on my waist - I usually forget it's there soon after I strap it on. Much better than in a jersey pocket.

"Lights ... without a battery pack" sounds like a good reason to get a dyno hub and good LED light.

Got a B&M Ixon IQ.. its in transit now , the release of the Premium Version
reduced the cost of the previous one.
Planet Bike 1w seems bright, there's a 2 w as well, if you feel like a Flasher.
