I use a Cree 2x U2 (China), can't find wide angle lens! Help please?
This is the cheap front-light I'm using:
It's very bright but much too focused. Browsing around I read people switch out the standard lenses for those with a wider beam. But having searched around I just can't seem to find the alternative lens anywhere. So I'm asking you know-it-alls instead and hope you know where to look. I live in Sweden, btw.
Thanks in advance!
to this double-light device i've never seen wide lens. maybe you should talk with any professional that works with glass or mirror and ask for custom lens.
Hmmm. You might try to find a piece of rippled transparent plastic and then put a piece of it in front of one of the lights with the ripples oriented vertically. How much it disperses the light will depend on the detailed shape of the ripples.
I got myself a pair of cheap lenses made for the one-led Cree light. Figure I can just put them in front of the light if needed, in spite of the too large size. Thanks for leading my thoughts in the right direction.
