Garmin Edge 200 takes forever to find satellites

I'm sure most of my problem is that I'm in Manhattan, but it can take 30 minutes for the device to be ready to record. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

No, suggestions just want to say that I have no issues with mine. Picks up satellites right away even indoors. I hope you find a solution since it's a great computer.

Try not turning it on until you're outside in an area that's got decent satellite reception. In a crowded area of Manhattan, avenues would work better than streets and Lower Manhattan should be easier still. Also, the longer it's been since you last used it or if you travel with it to a new area that it hasn't pulled satellites from recently, the synch will take longer.

Tom, did you update it to latest firmware?

After some research, I found these links:
https://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/case.faces?caseId={84774820-e4ef-11de-d785-000000000000**

I'm not sure if they work for your e200, but you might give it a try.

This is very helpful. I'll look for a firmware update.

I am in the West Village where we have the lowest density of tall buildings, though that seems to be changing.
