PowerTap G3 and Garmin Edge 500 displays "0 Watts"

My PowerTap G3 hub has suddenly stopped working. It is paired with my Garmin Edge 500 but always shows "0 watts". It happened mid-ride and the Garmin unit also auto-paused and wouldn't detect speed or watts, although all the sensors were connected.

I remedied this by master resetting my Garmin and it solved the speed sensor problem, but the unit still does not display any watts. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The battery in the G3 hub may be depleted. Try replacing the CR2032 battery.

It's easy, but if you're not familiar with it, there are a few videos on Youtube on replacing the PowerTap battery, in case you want to see someone else do it before you do.

"reset" it by taking the battery out for 5 minutes, and then replacing the battery... it's working again!
