Bikes: I think I just found out (happy to finally be able to find out) that my bicycle is Raleigh's '2007 Venture 3.0 SR NEX-4000!

Question Xeccon's Geina III - Mini Bicycle Light Set

Geinea III - MINI bike light

I want to purchase a set of these lights, but I cannot get Xeccon E-Mails to work to answer some questions I have first.

Are they out of business?

Is Geinea III - MINI bike light set a quality set of bicycle lights?

Does Geinea III - MINI bike set of lights work for the following questions:

Can it be attached to bicycle helmets? How?

I live where it rains hard, lightening everywhere and strong winds all the time.

How durable really is the lights? How water proof really is the lights?

You might want to get in touch with one of the Xeccon vendors. I've used mtbRevolution, an Aussie based vendor who has a good reputation. For a short period I was given some of their lamps to test for review purposes ( at no cost to myself ). One of those was the first Geinea 1 series ( rear ). I've been using it on my road set-up for about a year now. Very, very bright rear light. I've had some problems with the remote switch but nothing that I couldn't fix by repositioning the button. My biggest complaint is the mounting system which is simply just Velcro. To make it point straight back I had to add some rubber shimming to lift it up a bit. Works fine but an adjustable mount for the seat post would been nice to have.

On my last ride I noted that the lamp got really hot. These things are about the size of a P-60 torch drop-in so they don't have a lot of metal for heat sinking. As to how they hold up to water I really couldn't say. I have yet to encounter any rain while riding at night. While I like the rear version of the Geinea I don't think I'd go with a front version. For a front light I just like more light although I'm sure the front version could work for someone just looking for a commuter based front lamp. Now as to durability, I really can't say as I haven't owned it for very long but the simplicity of the design would lead me to believe that it might not last that long. On the up-side the units come with very good batteries. ( Samsung )

BTW a Geinea III is not something I see listed on the ( vendor ) website. If there's a III it's news to me.
