Sigma Data Center 4.0 & Sigma Cloud

Anyone else using the new version of Sigma Data Center? I just installed it and have been trying out the new Sigma Cloud feature. Those on the previous version of Data Center probably know that the database location was configurable. That was a nice feature because you could keep your database file "in the cloud" using Dropbox. That would allow you to have multiple installations of Data Center running on different computers (one at home and one at work, for example) all pointed to the same database. The new version of Data Center doesn't have this option. Instead they have introduced Sigma Cloud. However, after upgrading both of my Data Center installations to the new version and synchronizing them with the Sigma Cloud I now have 2 identical copies of every one of my rides! It doesn't seem like the Sigma Cloud is working correctly and I've submitted a help request. Hopefully they'll bring back the option to configure the database location and/or fix the Sigma Cloud problem.

I found a cool trick to work around the problem of not being able to configure the path to the database in Data Center 4. In Windows you can create hard links to a file. Hard links are different than shortcuts. You can create a hard link to the database file in Dropbox like so ...

    mklink /H "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\DataCenter.4.Desktop\Local Store\DataCenter_4.db" "C:\Users\<username>\Dropbox\DataCenter_4.db"
