You KNOW you want one of these.......
10 years ago a 4 year old nephew visited me in the USA (he is from Scotland). We visited the Boston Children's Museum and there was a scientific display involving a cone which you ran golf balls around the inside and they would spiral down to the hole at the bottom. The faster you could get them going the longer they would last in the cone before dropping out the bottom. We monopolized this game for a bit - grabbing every golf ball available and whirling them around inside the cone to the cries "Faster...Quicker....MORE!"
This year same nephew visited and we were able to share some good uncle/nephew moments out on the bikes together. Though he found road biking a bit tame compared to his Danny MacAskill inspired antics on his mountain bike. We charged around on the morning rides chanting "Faster...Quicker....MORE!" while discussing his money making schemes to save for his next custom build mountain bike.
My Christmas present arrived today. Even the Custom's Slip acknowledged my road bike obsession with weight. "Bike part - 120grms"
A new stem cover to inspire me:

Nice reminder of your nephew every time you ride. That must have been some quality bonding time. I hope to have a similar experience with my nephews one day (although unless it involves a hockey stick, it seems unlikely).

Actually we had a great time. Computers, Rubik's Cube solving, and interminable discussions of components to go onto his forthcoming custom build. He needs about US$2,300 and has got to $1,700 in the last 6 months. He hopes his job in the bike shop this spring for work experience will help him get enough to get started on the build....

That's cool! I was wondering which stem cover I should use from the three choices I'd accumulated when I rebuilt the steeringhead on my bike last year, and none of them were as cool as yours. Enjoy it!

That is way cool! Nice kid, thinking of his uncle!
Eventually he'll grow out of that mountain bike foolishness and you two can work on building a road bike. Or another MB.
