Giant Ridesense or Garmin Magnetless Sensors?
I've just acquired a Giant Propel and need to fit it with speed and cadence sensors for my Garmin 500. I was thinking of getting the magnetless Garmin Bike Speed Sensor and Cadence Sensor, but thought the Giant Ridesense might be a good alternative option as it integrates nicely into the chainstay. Has anyone used either? What would you recommend?

I have only used the three Garmin units. The GSC-10 is the older combination unit it works and has on a couple of my bikes for several years. Last year I switched one bike to the Magnetless Speed Sensor and another to the Magnetless Speed/Cadence Sensor Kit. They also work well but take a fraction of a second longer to wake up and report to the Garmin 810. It is a cleaner installation with the magnetless sensors since there are no additional pieces to install. I have no experience with the Giant Ridesense, but if its like the Bontrager Duotap sensor, it would be a serious alternative to eliminate mounting hardware and make the installation more streamlined.

I never heard of those magnetless sensors, so I looked them up. Very interesting.
