Hello everyone!

I did look maybe I missed it but is there a forum for bike security? If not I think there should be.

Ok to my question, what is a good GPS security tracker, motion sensor, text you and let you know if your bike has been moved and then you can track it device that you can buy?

The Spybike products look interesting from the standpoint of hiding the tracker by making it look like an integral part of the bike:

Of course if such devices become common I'm sure the thieves will catch on and quickly disable or remove them.

No idea how well it works in practice - my last bike theft was about 40 years ago so I haven't been motivated to invest in such a device.

There are trackers but I'm skeptical that there are any good ones.

These all require a cell-phone account. You might be able to get a account one for $10/month.

I did see those but my bike does not have that kind of neck thus it would not work for me. Surely are more I am guessing nut really have not found any.

There are several products on that page. I presume you could attach their light to your seatpost and/or replace the current seatpost with the one they plan to release soon.

I will keep my eyes open I really just want a small device I can attach to the bike in some way. I have a suspension seat post.

It appears you would need a data plan with the cell account.

With both GPS and a cell phone system running, you'll need a big battery to keep it tracking for any length of time. It's easy with cars, trucks and even motorcycles, but on a bike? The Spybike seat post design is actually the first promising effort I've seen in this regard. And even that will fail if the thieves throw your bike inside a van (no GPS reception) or decide to strip the parts.
