Racing in Germany
Man, there seem to be lots of threads about Germany.
My wife is from Germany and we are heading over in June/July/August for a two-week vacation. Unfortunately this is right in the middle of my racing season. I was wondering if anyone had any info on amatuer racing in Germany, particularly in NordRheinWestphalen (Aachen, Cologne, Duesseldorf, Maastricht-Be, Sittard-Ne).
Thanks!

MAke sure you have InternationalLicenseand you get the forgein country permitt letter from USACycling. Germany has only 3 race classes..which is good and bad. A/B class is like PRO 1,2 here C class is the "rest"..that is kinda bad...BIG fields and a wide mix of riders.
Nice thing over there..usually you don't have to travel more then 2hrs max to find good races..specially in the area you plan on going...within 1hr.
Here the event calendar on the BDR (German Cycling Fed)website for Nordrhein Westfalen click hier
hope this help

Because my wife is an ardent anti-Hollander (growing up 500 meters from the Dutch border and all), and I am a public-school educated Ami?
