Hello from australia, my wife and I will be visiting Munich on a cycling tour next year and have read about a route that travels from munich (germany) to verona (italy) that we would like to travel. - I know there is one guidebook published but it is only available in german language. Does anyone have any information on this trail and do you know where and if we can get maps when we arrive in germany? It appears that the bavarica tyrolensis route - (munich to lake achensee in austria which I found on the german tourism website) is the begining of this trail but I am not sure. I would appreciate any information that anyone has on this route. Thanks
Hi from Italy, I used the Esterbauer guides for the EuroTour 2008 travel of my signature, and I will use them for EuroTour 2009 too. These guides are in German, I understand zero words, but their maps are simply perfect.
i'm living in munich for a limited time, and i really want to make this trip (but maybe end in venice) unfortunately, i'll have to do it in the end of february. I have enough clothes to be warm, but will it be safe or icey? snow and rain don't matter too much.
I don't want to stay in the valleys the whole time. Of course, i can't make every mountain pass, but i want to make as many as my legs can handle. Will those maps give enough information to plan my climbing? Or will everything just appear flat?
