DonauRadweg, riding east from Vienna

My wife and I have spent two vacations riding the Salzach, Inn and Donau Radwegs from Salzburg to Vienna. Now we would like to go beyond Vienna next time, perhaps as far as Budapest. Can anyone with the experience tell us what we may expect in the way of conditons of the path, frequency of town/villages, frequency of decent accommodations, etc., past Vienna?

I live in Vienna on and off and use the Donnauradweg often to travel out of town, East and West. I have not gone as far East as you're planning to, but I understand from my friends that it's pretty good in terms of all the things you're asking about. Accommodations and towns are frequent, and the path conditions are good.

Thanks so much for the reply. I'd also like to hear from some folks who have ridden from Vienna to Budapest and compare how it is to say from Pasau to Vienna.
