I'm visiting Berlin for the next 4 - 5 months and would like to find a local bike shop. I recently purchased a Tern folding bike, and am in the market for baskets, clothing, and such. I would like to know if you guys can recommend any that carry a wide range of bike accessories and clothing (all the better if they're folding bike specific), and where they speak English.

Hi! You can try Zweirad Stadler in Charlottenburg, not folding bike specific but huge. There are so many people that someone should speak english.
I was really happy with a shop in Neukölln, Velomondo, in Pannierstraße, they spoke some english, but they didn't have much accesories and clothing at the time. They did some major reparations/part change to my bike. They did a really good job, for a reasonable price.
Just curious how your stay was, @Crazylegsmurphy - did you find a favorite LBS (which one?) and were you satisfied with your Tern on the streets of Berlin?
I bike everywhere in this city year-round but in the summers mostly roam Tempelhof or Havelchaussee with my Caad 10.
I did find a bike shop way in the south that dealt with folders more than most places and while the owner was a little off-putting, the selection was pretty good. I think the place was called, "Adam's Bike Shop."
My Tern performed quite well. There were a few times when I came blasting around a nice paved corner onto a cobblestone walkway, which really reminded me that I was riding on small, high pressure tires. All n' all though it was a very nice experience. I was able to explore much of Berlin via the Berlin Wall Trail. I was hoping to do it all in one go, but I was only able to travel certain distances because my iPhone didn't have the battery life to power my bike app. Once I eventually got around to buying an external battery, and mounting it on my bike, the days were too short to realistically do it all in one day.
I unfortunately had to bring my bike back to Canada, so I'll have to look at getting a Tern for when I'm staying in Stuttgart with my girlfriend this year....they're not cheap in Euros though.
