joy!
I've just been told I've got a very strong heart, and I attribute that to riding my bike. I've battled back from cancer three times, twice enduring a grueling chemo regimen that weakened my heart. But 4 years ago I got a bike. When my family doctor heard me say I'm going to get up to a 50 mile ride this year (I'm 71 and on a Townie), he sent me over to a cardiologist just to make sure...
And so. If it's possible to love cycling more than I already do, then, well, I do. 50 miles, eh? Wonder how much more I can do next year! Ha!

Smart move to check with doctor. You probably enjoy the ride a lot more without worries.

I am yet to begin my official comeback after prostate cancer surgery almost 3 weeks ago. I felt great, did a ride, actually caused greater damage to my body than the surgery by riding 55.5 miles and wound up back at zero. I am an avid rider, 112 mile non stop bike completion in last years Ironman Florida, so knowing what I have to aim for will encourage my progress. Same with the swimming and marathon endeavors.

Way to go Bobcat71, you are my kind of Lady, well done, and I am sure that the doc is happy to give you that kind of news, as well.
