Condemned to the gym forever. At least it seems that way. First it was really important travel. Got a lot done on the trips and met some really nice people. A couple of whom are on this Forum. But no biking.

Home and lots of interfering work.

Now it is wildfire smoke. Smoke like being on the downwind side and next to a campfire. Choking, stinky, lung clogging, eye tearing smoke.

But, never fear! Not all is lost. After the spine surgery I've posted about I have some "issues". So, I've been practicing walking. Still at the "I'd never pass a roadside sobriety test" level. But, I'm walking; for the most part unassisted.

Also been spending more time in the gym. I can really recommend it. Lots and lots of weights.

When the wildfires burn out and air isn't hazardous I'll be READY.

Heal well my friend. I used to live in this mountains and have been driven out twice by wild fires. They make breathing hard even after they are knocked down.

We have a big group ride planned for the end of August that goes through Oak Glenn to Big Bear. If the fires aren't stopped soon that ride might suck.

With some slight rain air quality has been upgraded from Hazardous to Very Unhealthy. Some areas have better air quality. But it is awfully dry. So this won't slow the wildfires much. Currently over 320 fires are burning.

Most outdoor activities have been canceled. But spin bikes and weights indoors still work.
