I’m happy to convey that I’m on par for 3,000 miles this year, which will be higher than any of my previous years of roughly 2,250 annual miles.

I started riding in February, but didn't begin recording the results until mid May. I've recorded over 900 since that date, but probably have something like 1400 to date. My goal is 100 miles per week, but within that goal is at least one short fast ride, one short ride with serious climbing and one ride over 40 miles (but now make that 50 miles). I don't have a mileage goal, but I do have goals that include: Ride fast enough to ride with at least one "A" group, move up to a "B" level climbing group and complete a 100 mile charity ride at no less than 18MPH average. So far, the first two have been met and I'm working my way up to the third.
Losing 32 lbs since Feb 1 to date certainly has helped.

6100 miles counting trainer time (I know, that's debatable to many), but this year it means most of my July, which I have spent nursing broken ribs and missing out on a number of scheduled centuries.

I have 3941 ytd. I dont usually set annual mileage goals. I try to get in 5 aerobic workouts a week, 2 usually running in the winter. I also set other goals, such as how many centuries or double centuries I will ride for the year, and which ones. Those choices determine the total mileage.

6500 km so far this year. Last year managed 12K km total. But I don't really have a target, I just ride.

I think this is the origin of an internet acronym: YMMV.

Road cycling so far this year - probably since about April. I am in MA so we had just a little snow (about 4+ft from February) so we got a late start on the road

Year to date totals - 4761.86 Total Miles
3108.92 Road Miles
1651.65 Trainer Miles
295 Hours
Mileage is down a but since I had a cardiac ablation in January and had to dial it back in time and intensity for a while. Cautiously optimistic that the issue has been corrected. I count trainer miles since I ride with a powermeter and the effort level is comparable to road miles, sometimes actually more intensity.
Today is my first ride as a 63 year old so I plan on getting things off to a good start.

Where I live (in Maine) that would be an exceptionally good season using ordinary road tires, etc. March can be brutal as far as road gunk (slush, sand, potholes). One crazy year I could not get home from work (3 miles away) because my car was buried in snow. In April!!

I am around 1600 km so far this year. I have a ~250 km weekend planned out in three days, though, weather permitting.

Since I've been getting back into riding over the past year, I made an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of distance and duration of ride - even though it's also on MapMyRide's website...

On my "Freebie" 2009 Schwinn Alum Comp mountain bike = 41.07 miles (mainly on local small trails around here, and only a few times out on the roads (in which I finally got it into my thick head that riding a Mtn bike like a road bike is not to the best advantage! ) )

On my "Craigslist Special" 1985 Fuji Del Rey = 195.25 (since June 6th when I bought it! )

This Season's Mileage So Far

A cycling season is a segment of my cycling year:
  • New Year’s Day is Ash Wednesday, a good day to dump the winter diet and begin the self-mortification for training
  • In mid April to early May, I go into my Ten Week Century Training Program for a long organized ride in July, usually a Fifty-Plus Annual Ride (this year the One Helluva Ride in Michigan).
  • For the rest of the Summer I taper off to week 6, for maintainence and to get out and enjoy the rest of summer
  • In early September I ramp up to week 10 for a mid-autumn long organized ride (this year a Fifty-Plus Annual Ride in Pennsylvania)
  • In October I retrench to just my daily 14 mile one way AM commute to work, until next April.
Every January 1 though, begins with a goal of 5000 miles for the calendar year, never met; and usually my Century Training Scheduled is never fully fulfilled either. Nonetheless goals get me out on the road more than my busy life would normally allow.

This winter I was really constrained by work, without the motivation of nice weather, clear roads and long daylight, and only managed about 30 miles per week until May. It was so disheartening that I didn’t even make my Annual Excel Spreadsheet.

My training miles have been better, but all my rides are still on pieces of paper waiting to be tallied since May; maybe about 100 miles per week (the schedule progresses from about 100 to 190 miles per week). One gratifying improvement though, is I am devoting more attention to speed, as well as distance.

Though disappointed I can’t get out more to improve, I am satisfied with what I can do, as exemplified by a Bike Forum adage, ”My 15 mph [and 50 mile long ride] is to me, as your 25 mph [and double century] is to you.”

I've logged 2,300 touring miles. I also rode roughly 1,000 miles just riding around, although I don't bother logging or even using a computer on most of these rides.
