Very exciting race up Huez today. Taped and watched it all. Riding through the tunnel of people must be a rush.

Yes. I've watched a few stages live and others later on the DVR. Nice being able to zip through the commercials with the DVR. It has been a good one this year. Loved the attacks yesterday and today. Hated seeing Tejay pull out.

I watch them at work, on my computer, using the Eurosport feeds, from Steephill TV. I put it in the background and listen to the narration, no talking horses or scantily clad girls, or Heineken ads, to put up with on those feeds. Pretty knowledgeable announcers on those channels, they are good to listen to. Today was a great stage, those hills are fantastic, I wish I had even 1% of their abilities.

I have been watching the TDF and enjoyed it quite a bit. Now that it is over, I have the same let down feeling as I do when I finish a good novel. I guess I better ride some more to get over this feeling.

yes, I've been watching the Tour. The horse/goat thing is truly weak. Just more commercial BS.

Best stage, perhaps the only one worth watching. I watched paint dry on a dining room project while doing touch-ups once, that was more exciting than this year's TdF. They need to get rid of those radios, remove coach real time "straateegeree" ... to quote one of our past Presidents. Boring, boring, boring.

Been watching this year. Not as interested as last few years. For some reason, the announcing this year is really lame. Either I'm getting more knowledgeable or they're losing it. Probably the latter. The most annoying aspect is how Phil Liggett changes his discussion to a different rider without stating who he's talking about. After a while, his annoying assuming the listener knows who he's talking about gets old. I wish they'd put Liggett out to pasture with Hannah and the horse and increase Roll's participation.

BTW maybe not where you live but in so So Cal NBCSP was carrying the broadcast. They were giving out the awards at the end and just before the yellow jersey and top finishers presentations, they cut to Nascar. Sad...

I thought the race was fairly tame this year despite all of the hype. After Froome got the lead on Stage 3 (?) when the crosswind broke up the peleton, he and Team Sky went into defense mode. The other teams let them and rarely made attacks - or so it seemed to me.
I was also a bit put off by the "unwritten gentlemen's agreement" rule that Froome got so bent out of shape about when he had a piece of whatever stuck between his brake and rim and he wen toff on the guy who attacked him. I don't remember Froome stopping to wait for anyone during that crosswind peleton split... Unwritten gentelmen's agreement my ***. While I generally like Froome, I thought he lost some of his credibility going off on that guy.
And the last day was simply a waste of broadcast time - as usual.

If they had a Jackass of the Tour jersey it would have to go to Warren Barguil. Why this jerk tried to go inside anyone's line on a descent is a mystery. That is just too dangerous. Unless I'm mistaken it's not the first time he crashed due to his own actions this tour.

I learned that all other athletes are ******* compared to the cyclists. They perform at 100% for 5 hours straight, in the sun, the rain, with crashes and 11,000 feet of climbing over 100 miles and then get up the next day and do it again and again over 23 days with 2 rest days.
Guys with broken collar bones that are taped, major road rash and broken bones. They don't go on the 15 day DL because of a stretched hamie, or I got hit in the hand with a pitch.
Boo f'ing hoo.
Anyone who finishes is a super star.
Even with a knee injury, he not only finishes, but take the final sprint.

I've been watching for about 15 years and this one was average to me. It's probably great for Sky and Froome fans but the huge gap between Froome and the rest made the contest disappointing. I did enjoy Sagan's throwing the green jersey in the face of the Tour's officials (figuratively) who changed the rules to take it away from him by raising the final sprint points disproportionately in the first week.
Phil and Paul are getting a bit long in the tooth now and Phil regularly misidentified riders. It may me be but he seems unhappy with the addition of other former riders, especially Jens Voight. A couple times each stage he took cheap shots at him, prodding Jens any time he missed a prediction of whether or not the break would be caught.
I hoped Contador would be more competitive and was very saddened when Cancellara, Van Garderin and Tony Martin dropped out. Cavendish was apparently ill the end of the race but frankly I think he wouldn't have matched Greipel even if he was in top shape. Ah well, the Vuelta isn't far off.

I do not have cable nor satellite dish either, but do have internet. I've watched the TdF on Eurosport streamed by steephill.tv They broadcast the Giro and Vuelta also in addition to any cycling event on Eurosport. steephill.tv also streams broadcasts from other countries, (but in their home language).
