Have you been watching the Tour de France?
I work out of my house and have really enjoyed watching it in the mornings.
Who would have thought I would have also enjoyed commercials repeated over and over again that featured a talking horse..........

Yes; always do. Some years (this one is a good example) I'm not sure why ... yawn. The Sky procession is a crashing bore. I'll be pulling for Quintana on the Alpe tomorrow, but it's a no-hoper I'm afraid.
I'm another one who doesn't have cable/tv; just stream it live using a Eurovision feed.

Here, live coverage starts at like 2:00 AM, so no. But at the gym I put some time in on a stationary trainer that has a tv mounted to it with cable so I get an NBC sports replay that starts I think 6 PM local. I've never seen a sports program with so many commercials. It's like 2 minutes of coverage and 5 mins of commercials. I can only take the talking horse so much.
I much prefer the less publicized races that I can find Eurosport coverage on line.

I preferred Rob Lowe's Directv commercials. Mr Ed went out a long time ago. And now my Directv rates will increase for those brainless things on the beach.

I stopped watching sports on TV period. I think they have lost their credibility. There's too much money enticing athletes to become whatever pharmacological experiment will create better performance. The only control we have is to tune them out. I feel if I watch, I am part of the problem.

When I'm In the woods riding my bike I often stop and watch riders flying up and down the trails.
But to sit and stare at the TV watching roadies In a race, no thanks.
I grew up with NASCAR, so I will admit after the Tour De France is over I will snoop about on You-Tube looking for those epic bike crashes

I've been stuck in the house with a leg injury the past three weeks and unable to walk more than a few yards so this Tour has come at a great time for me. For the first time, I must have watched 75% of it.
OK the start of each stage does take time to get going but the end of each day has been fascinating watching the team tactics and individual skills.
The climbers are amazing and those twisting descents are done at a scary speed.
It's also been enjoyable watching the great Alps & Pyrenees scenery and we're lucky here in the UK that we only have 2 minutes of adverts every 20 minutes or so.
I'll be lost when it finishes as I don't watch daytime TV otherwise.

I've been watching as much as I can after work. It's very entertaining and I love to see first time stage winners and I try to imagine what that must feel like.

I watch a little and try to see the last few K when I can. The difference in those riders and the everyday cyclist is unreal. About fifteen min or so is enough.
I wish they spent more time on tactics, logistics and equipment.

I record the coverage and watch it some time during the day when it's convenient. I normally watch the first bit and then skip to the last 10-12 km or so and watch the ending.
I admit to being a bit spoiled by following the Tour Divide for the last several years. Watching a bunch of TdF pampered bike racers with a huge support team no longer seems very interesting compared to roughly the same number of people racing a longer distance in a shorter time through the wilderness of the Rockies. With no support other than what they can carry on the bike.
I think I'm jaded.

Seriously, though, Green sticks to him like a certain substance to a blanket -- he is a huge talent. I am hoping he does win tomorrow. It's unlikely, but I hope he can do it.
