Learning The Hard Way
I bought some new expensive brand x road shoes last year. Last night while changing the cleats I noticed the heel pad was completely worn down and the carbon sole is starting to wear. It won't be long until the uppers will start to wear and eventually ruin the shoe. While looking for new shoes I discovered if I would have spend $50 more I could have purchased a slightly better shoe with replaceable heel pads.
I wish the salesperson would have told but now I know to ask more questions.

Life is one long day in school learning things and then we die. If you enjoyed the shoes up to this point, that's all that matters. Now you can make a wiser purchase in the future and enjoy life even more.
Keep it fun and the miles melt away.
