How sad is

this? I went for ride yesterday and with the wind at my back had trouble catching up with an old farm tractor. The sad part being that he was coming east and I was heading west. Sigh!

... wait... Let me see if I have this right... You, riding west with the wind at your back, are unable to catch up with a farm tractor that is HEADING TOWARD YOU. Is this correct? If not, please elucidate further. If so, what are the circumstances that precluded you from this destined bicycle/farm implement rendezvous?

Well, it's probably like the old physics/math question: If, every 5 seconds, you halve the distance between two objects, how long will it take for them to meet?

Is that like the argument that you can't shoot a man that's running away from you?

If a cyclist is traveling west at 24 kph and an eastbound tractor can plow two hectares per hour, how many Led Zeppelin hit songs weren't ripped off from other musicians?

Elucidate, now there is a word that rarely shows up in common conversation!

Lest you think that I prevaricate, that old tractor turned down a lane before I got to him. So unlike a politician for example, I didn't tell a complete untruth. More like a journalist, I told only a partial truth.

On long climbs, I'm forever catching a cyclist ahead of me, only to discover it's a mailbox or a road sign.

The tractor was in reverse just to confuse you. I saw a guy with a white reflector on the back of his bike "just to confuse people".

The Schwarzschild metric describes the spacetime of a spherical symmetric point mass (an arbitrary star) in vacuum. With (or if G=c=1) it is written:

This should explain your problem op

Does that mean they may actually be able to put the Stairway back into Wayne's World?
