    A gift plus

My daughter gave me a Christmas present.I opened the holiday wrap and bow to find a cycle jersey inside.I only started wearing jerseys about 8 years ago.Im more of a tee shirt guy.On occasion I do dress up.Usually events and long rides. So I don't have many and this one is welcome.
After acknowledging the gift she said only people on her corporate cycle team are allowed to purchase it.I said I didn't know you took up cycling again and joined a team. She said I didn't you did.
So this spring I'll be riding a blue jersey with a bank logo on the front and the skyline of Manhatten on the back.Where? I have no idea.Kids.:

Good start on the jersey addiction! I have over 50 now and I swear I'll never buy another one. Until . . . one I just can't resist comes along.

Bought my first one (Team Peugeot to go with my PX-10) back in '68!

Enjoy the jersey, and the new training motivation. Did the gift come with a podium finish requirement as well?

The jersey artwork sounds nice, got a pic of it to share?

I laughed and said to my wife, "look it could be worse, I could be addicted to buying jerseys instead of bikes!" I too still have my very first cycling jersey (no logos), from back in 2008.

I was given a cycling jersey by a friend this Christmas. Lime green and black, racing fit with the name of the cycle racing club and their sponsors written on it. Boy, I never realised how tight racing fit jerseys are!

I've never like any clothes with logos or writing on them and I don't like the idea of wearing the jersey of a club I don't belong to, so I'm going to wait a few months and give it away to someone without my sartorial hang-ups.
A bike is for life, not just for Christmas.

Sounds like your daughter is a very special young woman, now you might want to get her riding so you can enjoy things together. My daughter rides with me, when she comes back to our home from time to time. She lives in Atlanta now, so its not as often as I'd like. Enjoy your new jersey, it will be a treasure to you, trust me on this one.
