I still enjoy the endeavor of getting faster. Last year was my best yet and with the work schedule this summer I do well just getting in the rides.

I got away from clipless pedals and have not missed them. The hotfoot became intolerable during week long trips on a fully loaded bike. I use the MKS Lamda pedals with spikes inserted to add grip. If you notice, the ball of the foot is resting on air. They made a huge difference and I don't notice any loss of efficiency.
