I just spent the last two hours scrubbing algae off of our driveway (which has morphed into a riverbed). Almost as much fun as shoveling snow, except the water is probably contaminated by failing septic systems in the area.

I agree with you to a point.

There is, however, crappy weather and we have had some of it lately.

I live in a less crowded area of SoCal, but even here it is getting too crowded for my taste.

OK, you win! Algae + septic tank waste = Major gross out!

BTW today I rode 50 miles in a cool (high 63 F), overcast day. But there was no rain and not much wind. I loved it!

Seattle area - I'm east in the foothills - is so great that you should pay your own way, just for the free housing/food/treats. But I have 10 roadies, none as clean as yours - so I'll go 1/2's with you.

Don't bring a bike, Drillium Dude has a small and unique Colnago - that I hear needs a maiden voyage. You freqent C&V, don'tcha?

I highly doubt DD offers his bikes for others to ride.

I have seen pictures of his bikes, I believe that Monsieur DD is a tad taller than me.

Sounds tempting though.
