It both breaks and warms my heart to read this. I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet like that is rough, and getting over it takes some time. But I do love hearing about a dog that had such a wonderful life.

It sounds like you both had a wonderful life together, I know firsthand how much this hurts. We had to say goodbye twice, Abigail was with us for 14 years, and then Arabelle for 16. Belle enjoyed many road trips with us, including Niagara!

What was your beautiful girls name?

So sorry.

Until I got my wife a corgi puppy for her birthday 14 years ago, I was firmly convinced I wasn't a dog person. The corgi is still with us and now I can't imagine life without a dog. I'll be forever grateful to Hannah for teaching me that I am indeed a dog person.

Condolences.

Sorry for your loss.
I really believe dogs find their human and not the other way around.

What sevenmag said... lost my girl 4/13. We had lots of good times and she almost got to 15 so I don't feel cheated. They sure do become best friends and family.

My condolences

There's just something about "old dogs"...
I'm sure she'll be missed!

So sorry. You did a great thing by giving her a life of love. We are facing a similar time. Our guy, Max, is 14 and having trouble getting around. We adopted a young Boxer to give him some companionship and incentive and it seems to have helped his spirits.
