I'm not always enjoying exercise when I'm doing it, but, afterwards and for the rest of the day, I feel great...better than I have for quite some time, even when the knees are hurting.

Thats sort of the way I feel, sitting there before going out to ride, I think I should stay in and watch tv or do some work and then when I get out there, I am so glad I did not wimp out. Excercise is great stuff, it keeps me young! :)

Speaking of memos, that reminds me of the lengthy memo we got when I was in the US Air Force.

The gist of the memo was that ALL CORRESPONDENCCE was to be typed on BOTH sides of the paper, as that would save paper.

Yes, you guessed it.

The memo was typed on only one side of the paper, and as it was two pages long, it took TWO sheets of paper.

Or the time we got written up for having too many paper clips on our correspondence.

Or the other time when we got zapped for not having a penciled in "T" on the upper right hand corner of our letters to indicate that the correspondence was "temporary." Of course, if it was temporary, we shouldn't need anything in the right hand corner, we should have just tossed it.

Or the time I wrote the base commander about the cockroaches in the dining room (I was a young lieutenant squadron commander). That made a REAL hit!

Or the time I had to appear in front of the general to explain why one of my "troops" had an accident with a government vehicle. Actually he wasn't one of MY troops, but no one seemed to much care!

That was before the Vietnam war. Perhaps things are better now.
