Cycling Christmas Gifts....given & giving ??

My cycling friends are getting those little patch kits from Rivendell.....Riva patches, glue than can go long without drying out in the tube, etc. ...and their traditional dime--presumably to call with if all else fails. Best cycling gift of all time was from my daughter years ago who, a little kid on her own, wandered down to the LBS and came back with bargain bin wool jersey--I still wear it proudly.

Question: What cycling Christmas gifts are being given, have ever been given---- or, best of all, hope to be received.

I try to get my cycling presents for my friends after christmas in the sales. Best buy I ever got was a cycling top for a rather large friend that fitted him. As he is XXXXL in size you can imagine the problem he has even getting ordinary clothes to fit him.

Hoping the wife is reading this, but I could do with a pair of winter gloves please. The pair you bought me 5 years ago are somewhere in the garage, but I can't find them. It's about time you cleared it out again.

I got a "Road ID" on which was laser-engraved my name, phone #, medical insurance name & member #, blood type, and allergies. Even if unconscious, medical personnel will know that I'm insured and how to contact someone. Seemed like a great gift to me!

That's a fantastic idea. Any idea where one would get something like this done?

- $5 in any Petsmart (get a token from a cashier)... you'll have to decide if you want the engraved aluminum heart or dog bone...

If you want the frou-frou one, go to www.roadid.com. They're about $20.
