Yeah, I keep buying bikes, used ones lately, and then buying parts to make them into something purposeful, uh, whether I need something for that specific type of riding or not...lol

Just finished updating my old Stumpjumper M2 (new shock, brakes, gearing) and couldn't resist a deal on a mint old Trek 970 cro-mo (lugged!) which I'm making into an all-terrain touring rig... think very low budget Thorn EX... so it goes.

Just be thankful it's not airplanes or boats or cameras..... oh, and sign up for a couple more credit cards. You are going to see something you just HAVE to get right now.

And DeeGee, don't forget to find room in your apt. for all the stuff you order, swap for, get as a gift, etc....only to discover it doesn't work right, not as expected (or hyped), wrong threading, wrong diameter, no compatibility, etc. But you might need it someday, so can't eBay it.

HeHe....its like married people welcoming another newly married "victim" to the brotherhood....but in this case, its the brotherhood of catalog creepers and parts bin pickers.

For example: "Whoa, genuine rubber bar end plugs....gotta get 'em.".
