Hey, it was just some ice! No one's at fault here - or that seems to be the message from the police, IMHO.

Thanks Bud Bent. I was able to read the article through your attachement. Really sad, I almost wish I hadn't read it. I ride with my son and daughter, as a matter of course I always ride further from the curb and slightly behind them so cars see me, give me some room and the children then have a little more safetly space. So it makes me sad to see a family hit.
The case though is less about a careless attitude towards cyclists than just poor attention to the icy roads. The car which lost control could just have easily taken out a couple of pedestrians or another oncoming car. It's just a sad event.
