Can anyone suggest some warm tights for a man of generous proportions in the waist department : 39" waist but only 29" legs.
Tubby - oh alright then fat if you must be so cruel.

I prefer leg warmers in lieu of tights. As the temps increase you can merely remove the leg warmers and continue in comfort. I use Sugoi because I like the "knee joint" and zippered ankles.
I look like Icabod Crane that swallowed a beer keg......just keep riding and hope the "beer keg" diminishes.

I think you ought to go with day-glo red spandex with "Bootylicious" inked on the back. At our age, you get to actually do such stuff!

Thanks Olebiker & Farhorizon for those absolutely hilarious comments - I have never laughed so much in my life. Really really funny and useful. I passed them to members of my bike club to see if anyone else could make use of your suggestions. Thanks once again.

Before I got into cycling Tights- I used to use Womens leggings as bought at Cheap clothing shops. For some reason- you only have to worry about the waist size and wear them in the rain once and they fitted.
They are so cheap- less than $5- that if I was brave enough- I could buy several pairs in different colours for the different colour mud. Never saw them in Dayglo though.

Consider yourself lucky, my legs are even shorter.
Your one choice is custom. I know an outfit in the states that does custom work, no idea about the UK.
No, I can't afford it either, I just live with the bagginess.
