As impressed as I may be with the under 45 year old riders that rode over 400 miles, how about 50 year old plus Doyce Johnson riding his recumbent 474 miles, or 75 year old plus tandem riders Martin and Nita hayes logging 197 miles, and 70 plus Barbara Carey putting down 161 miles.
I can't even stay awake for 24 hours let alone ride a bike.
Age is not a factor.
