domestic inundation killed my easter shape
last autumn we decided to recondition our bath and toilet rooms ... and 5 weeks ago a troop of plumbers took our house in possession, just in time for me to start my spring training after the works being finished - THOUGHT I!
When they finally had terminated their work (10 days ago) and removed all their stuff from (nearly all) rooms and sunny weekend came I started my first 1 hour tour just to see if all is fixed and to adapt myself for larger tasks, which will be a 10 days Alps mountain tour in august. When I came back home I looked forward to my first shower experience, but: NO HOT WATER!
I went to the heating cellar (naked and freezing) in order to examine the hot water supply (maybe they had forgotten to untwist the tap). When I touched the tap it immediately began to squirt like a sprinkler, I could have taken my shower here, but it was TOO HOT. I ran to another cellar room, where the main tap is and closed it: no more water today! Without a shower I went to bed. The next day the plumbers came, fixed the defective tap and examined the shower: there was a small ceramic part whose hot water hole was not broken through and so they broke it through. Thank you, mister plumber.
We had a few days of recovery. I couldn't ride, but we enjoyed our bath.
the day before yesterday night - I already had some seconds of sleep - I heard a sound like "plipp, plipp, plipp..." and I went to see, what had happened: the toilet flushing had not stopped and now the water was flooding the edge of the basin: the discharge pipe was clogged and now the water found a new way from second floor to first floor and then to the cellar.
I didn't sleep that night...
The following day the plumber came and now we have some noisy drying machines to make our nights more interesting.
Today they came for an examination of the discharge pipe, I fear to come home.
That's why I haven't my normal easter shape yet.

By any chance...did your plumbers go by the names of Larry, Curly, and Moe?
Did they occasionally shout "WOOP!, WOOP!, WOOP! as they went about their work?
I think I've seen them here on TV.

EDIT: I've uploaded an image of the Three Stooges as Plumbers three times now. Once again, the slow server problems haunt me. Grrrrrrrr

Inundation, part 2:
My wife told me, what happened: they came with a machine that gave a giant pressure (15 times of a racing bike pressure) into the discharge pipe and after a long time of fearful waiting ("if it doesn't work we must open the wall") it made PLLOPPP and the pipe was free.
Explanation: when they had made the new shower and toilet discharge, they removed the upper part of the pipe (that one which leads to the roof) and replaced it by a plastic exhausting pipe. BUT: there were many clinker and rust pieces from the old pipe and mortar from their work which had vanished in the lower part of the pipe.
to be continued???
P.S.: this is dedicated to Frank Zappa and his "Flakes" song (you know what I mean?)

Man, the things you have to go through to keep your pipes moving.... in your house and the ones under your legs with the pedals attached. I hope your plumbing problems dry up soon and you regain your "easter shape" before we get into the summer. You could make a situation comdey TV show out of this story.
