What a knucklehead! You can't fish for a manual -- what would you use for bait??? Besides, how you gonna fish in a car port? Geesh!!!

BP,

It's been 6 weeks since Day Light Savings time re-engaged! Where have you been! Obviously staying up too late burning the midnight oil penning the next "Cyclists Mystery Novel: DG's Rapid Descent!" (Can I have a signed first addition?) Instead of adding an hour, just imagine you are actually riding in the Rockies on Mountain Daylight Savings Time. Just think how much more interesting that will be than riding in Gray May and June Gloom!

Not only did you not tighten the qr--you put the chain and cranks on the wrong side of the bike. Probably couldn't find the manual for that either, huh?

A lot of the bike computer companies have on line versions of their manuals, it would probably be easier to look it up that way than to go garage diving.

So in early Decmeber Paulie will be looking for that darn manual again so he can set the clock back. Maybe Paulie needs to move to Saskatchewan - no time change there.

On a serious note. I wonder why we are so obsessed with the clock? I had an uncle who was an old farmer. He never wore a watch, and I never saw a clock in his house. He used to say, "What do I need a watch for? I know when I'm hungry, when it's time to go to bed and when to get up, and I'm sure not ever going to work for sombody else." My father never wore a watch either. Of course, we all knew it was so that he could stay out fishing as long as he wanted with the lame excuse of not knowing how late it was getting.

When I'm riding I do worry about how much daylight I have left. So, I try to think less about the clock and more about the sun's position in the sky.

With that said, my LBS owner says the best solution to your problem is to get two identical computers and set one to standard time and one to day light savings time. Then just switch them out twice a year.

You've got it wrong. Remove Paulie from the computer and throw him away. That way we won't have repeat posting. I bet the same question will come up in the Autumn

Can I get one free as part of a Team Big Paulie sponsorship deal?

Are the batteries hard to replace?

Who will pay for new batteries?

Are the old batteries recyclable, and can I get compensated for my recycling effort?

Is there any cost to me involved?

Will I be compensated for my likeness being used commercially?

Can I sue Dnvrfox if someone sees me using this device, makes fun of me, and makes me feel bad?

Can you guarentee that Digital Gee will have to pay more than me?

How much does it cost?

Will this computer not only remind me when service is due on my bike, will it also cover the expense of that service?

And one last question...

How much does it cost, and can I get a deal anywhere? Or can I try one for free for one time change cycle and see if I like it?
It is free.

1. Place cursor on picture of "THE UNIVERSAL STANDARD/DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME "BIG PAULIE" BICYCLE COMPUTER."

2. Right click on "copy"

3. Open Irfanview and click "paste"

4. Print on your printer.

5. Remove paper and glue to your bicycle bars.

It will always have the exact time (no, not the correct time, but the exact time).

As to Digital Gee, we must design one to meet his own particular and very unique characteristics. I have my team of inventors and designers working on that right now. It might take several years, considering the complex personality, physical and unique mental needs.

Other Clues about Time

BP,

Other clues could help you know the time. If you see the sign below, you are in the Eastern Time Zone. If you see green, it's Day Light Savings Time. If you see white, it's standard time.

Check your neighbor's trash for paper.

Have an oatmeal breakfast. Use the oatmeal for glue.

Yes, and it is exactly this type of behavior that makes designing a computer so difficult. He has already exhausted the Craigslist bicycles available in the San Diego area, and is creeping north into Los Angeles. Lookout Angelinos. DG is invading.

I will let you know about May of 2010.

Don't call me. I will call you.
