June 06 totals

Ok, I know my numbers arn't great, but..
356 miles this month, almost 20 hours in my HR training zone. Also broke 700 for the year. My most any one year was 2004, with 718.

What have the rest of you been doing?

Your numbers seem okay to me. For June I finished with 320 miles. This was my second best month this year. My 15+ mile exercise ride is now always in the 17+ mph and last weekend I rode a metic century and averaged 16.3 mph. So not a bad month. I'm right at about 1,200 for the year with a year end goal of 2,500

219 miles in June, and I'm at 1,300 miles for the year, so I'm behind by 200 miles or so on my goal of 3,000 miles for the year. I guess a couple of back to back centuries over the fourth of July weekend will get me back on track.

My first six months:

January: 25 rides, 310 miles

February: 10 rides, 152 miles

March: 15 rides, 193 miles

April: 19 rides, 189 miles

May: 21 rides, 231 miles

June: 20 rides, 219 miles

Monthly average: 18.3 rides per month, 217 miles (Goal is 250 miles per month)

(By the way, I log EVERY ride, even if it's a mile and a half to the Mexican restaurant and back.)

Where you been Gary? You were conspicuously absent there for awhile...

June, 460 miles on the roadbike, a bunch on the fixed gear on off day training and recovery rides, and commuted to work every day...

231 in June after today's 35 miler, but I only had 11 miles by June 13 due to rain. 1316 for the year (which includes 782 indoor trainer miles)! Considering I had 1300 total for all of 2005, 2006 promises to be a very good bike year!

DG, the closest Mexican restaurant here in NH is a 41 mile ride away. Do you think you could handle this?

If they made an Aloha Carna Asada Burrito, as does my favorite spot, I would do it. (Includes some pineapple, of course.)

Say, PastorBob, got to thinking about you today while out riding around. Are any of your sermons available as podcasts? I'd love to hear one or two!

June Miles

Mine totaled up to be about 530 miles with 360 coming last week with the Northwoods tour in Wisconsin.Only about 700 miles so far this year, by far my lowest for the last three years. Working to much overtime.

So far I have 231.31 on the road bike and 217.16 on the MTB or 448.47 for the month. I've got 1322.6 for the year so far. I started back riding on Feb 20th of this year after a long absence.

Feb. 17.5 miles
March 171 miles.
April 320 miles.
May 365 miles.

I ride 6 days a week and when I get them all in I am settled into about 125 miles a week.
I would like to get in at least 1 century this year and am going for the Tour De Palm Springs in Feb. '07.

926 miles for June, but I cheated and did 560 miles from SF to LA in 7 days for AIDS/LifeCycle5. I'm at 3134 for the year, about where I was last year at this time.

I didn't keep good records this month, but it is somewhere around 600 miles +/- 30. This is WAY down from May when I came within 30 miles of 1K.

Not much hope for major miles over the weekend. I've gotten myself into a major project at home (plaster repair/repaint in the foyer and dining room in our circa 1910 house) and I do have to lecture on Monday as it isn't a holiday at U. Florida. Still I think that I will sneak out early in the morning on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday for a little riding. The only reason why I am posting is that I have run out of plaster and I'm taking a break.

I'm just a few miles shy of 600 for June. Thought about going out today and getting in enough to go over 600 put played golf instead. I'm right at 3500 miles for the year which is ahead of target to hit 6000 miles.

399.4 for June
1597 so far in 2006

Edit: I changed my 2006 totals from 1713 to 1597 There was a glitz in my spreadsheet. I hope that is the only one.

Ten miles a day, five days a week, year-round, except for vacations. In the summer, I have to drop my daughter off at day camp, so my milage goes up to about 14 miles per day.

Haven't the slightest idea. But mileage is probably the same as it has been for the last 4 years I have been commuting daily during the work week year round (24 miles R/T) And cycling for pleasure/utility at other times. Prior to that it was probably a different set of numbers because I had a different routine in Germany for 5 years; before that...

I think it is possible to do just fine without keeping book, but that's me.

Just finished a 40 mile ride so for the month ended up with 570 miles and YTD is 2,469 which puts me on track for my "best case" for the year of 4800 miles, my most likely was 4000 wnich looks very doable. Plan on doing 50-60 tomorrow, 30 on Sunday and then a couple of 40's on Monday and Tuesday to get July off to a good start.

Great work by all, keep at it you guys and gals rock!

I passed a fairly large women today who was out on her bike grinding along and I told her her form looked great (which it did) and what a great day for a ride, love to see all kinds of folks out riding not just the lean mean cardio machines.

It is my understanding that a coded name in Dr. Eufemiano Fuentes notes, "Gary," has been decoded to be Digital Gee (who has taken several trips to Spain recently) and he has been implicated in the doping scandal and all of his mileage in the "Tour de Fifty+" will have to be discounted.

Hmmm. 208 miles in June. Got to ride 31 miles on Saturday to get over 600 for year. Have a goal of 1600 for year, so next 6 months I'll be busy.

Plus 1-3 hours weekly on a stationary at the gym which I don't count as bike miles.

The last time I "worked with" a cyclist of Digital Gee's caliber...it was my sister her trike, when she was 3 years old!

only about 40 miles or so ... have been on a course in auckland at other end of the country for most of june ... didn't take a bike with me, pleased i didn't because the traffic was horrendous ... managed a few half hour spins on an excercise bike, that was until half the course came down with viral meningitis ...
hoping july will be a better month, if the frosts and cold temps let up ...
