Praise the Lord and pass the Craigslist!

    Another find...

Bought a 2nd bike stand for the two cruisers to get them off the floor and out of the way. Now I have two stands for my four bikes. First one was $40, second one was $30. I'll be picking it up later this week.

Plus I got a small saddlebag (a VERY small saddlebag) for $1 the other day.

Still checking daily for a repair stand, and, of course, a 54cm road bike or high end hybrid being offered at a steal. But for now, the little things are fun too!

Sounds really good. Please don't get me started on Craigslist.....eBay is already about all I can handle.

Kid in a candy store? You know, D.G., have you considered bike hooks to suspend your bikes from the ceiling? Many of your better bike shops do so to expand "floor" space. Adds a touch of bikie-cocoon to the apartment ambience. Just have to tell guests to duck and watch their head. Small price.

Since I rent, I'm reluctant to screw anything into the ceiling, and besides, these stands each hold two bikes in the floor space of one. Plus if I move things around, the stands are easy to move to a new spot. And I'm slowly giving up the notion that my place should look like everyone else's place. For instance, I NEVER eat in the dining room, yet there is a dining room table and seating for six in there. What a waste of space!

I may sell that table and chairs, and put a bike repair stand in the center of the dining room, with the two stands along the back wall. That would give me plenty of room to (learn to) do routine maintenance.

After all, who am I trying to impress with a big old unused dining room table?

So, I wander back to Craigslist to kill a little time while my printer prints some stuff.

Sure enough something else catches my eye!

I'd better go run some errands.

I once had a dining room table, but, alas, it got lost beneath laundry, mail, my new set of bike wheels, my son's various auto parts, etc. At Thanksgiving & Christmas it surfaces briefly so I can pass for "normal".
