yes, they are ALWAYS irritating
mine does the same unless I get the tension just right & the webbing around my ears positioned just so but there isn't a solution that I know of... when we rented bikes & helmets in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago the damn chinstrap on the rented helmet bugged me for 2 days but not anything to do about it.
Actually buying something 'new'?
My wife insists upon buying me a new helmet for my 53rd birthday this week. Since I've had 3 skin cancers removed from my nose over the years, it has become evident that my 'stewpot' helmet needs to be replaced with one that has cool sun visor projections on it.:p
After reading all of these posts, I can hardly wait to start the process of fitting another one in re: Stapfam's post below. I like the neoprene tube suggestion the best of all of them.
